After graduation she worked as a Physician in affiliated hospital of Beijing College of Acupuncture and Osteopathy, and as an editor at the Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine until 1989. In 1989, she came to England, worked at the Northern College of Acupuncture for 7 years as a clinical director and lecturer.
